Getting a card shouldn't cost you a deposit.
Niyo needs a bank account and ₹5,000 minimum balance. IDFC FIRST WOW locks ₹20,000 in a Fixed Deposit. Scapia runs a credit check and needs income proof. MetaMask Card — the one every crypto user wants — isn't available in India at all.
Plu is free. No FD. No bank account. No credit check. No income proof. Download, verify with Aadhaar, fund from your wallet, and you have a working Visa card in 2 minutes.
If you hold USDC or USDT in MetaMask, Trust Wallet, CoinDCX, or WazirX — Plu is the only card in India that lets you spend it directly. No exchange sell. No INR conversion. Just crypto in, Visa out.
Your wallet is your funding source.
Plu connects to the crypto you already hold. No new account. No exchange withdrawal. No bank transfer.
USDC on any network
Send from MetaMask, Phantom, Coinbase Wallet, Trust Wallet, or any wallet. USDC on Polygon is the cheapest and fastest path — typically a fraction of a cent in fees and seconds to confirm. Ethereum and Solana are supported too.
USDT on Polygon (if you must)
USDC is the cost-recommended stablecoin for India funding. If you specifically hold USDT, use the Polygon network — same low fees, same seconds-to-confirm. Avoid Ethereum mainnet USDT unless you have a specific reason.
UPI
For when you want to fund with rupees. PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm. Instant.
Bank transfer
NEFT or IMPS from any Indian bank — SBI, HDFC, ICICI, Axis, Kotak, you name it.
Your card balance updates automatically. Spend immediately. No waiting for "processing" or "verification."

Frequently asked questions.
Is the card really free?
Yes. Free creation. Zero annual fee. Zero joining fee. Zero maintenance fee. You don't need a Fixed Deposit, a bank account, or income proof. The only thing on your card is the money you load.
Why can't I just use MetaMask Card?
MetaMask Card is only available in 51 countries — US, Canada, UK, and EU. India is not on the list. Plu gives Indian crypto users the same concept: fund a card from your wallet, spend at merchants. The difference is Plu works here.
Can I fund from MetaMask wallet?
Yes. Send USDC from your MetaMask wallet on Polygon to your Plu card — that's the recommended path for cost (fees in fractions of a cent, seconds to confirm). USDT also works on Polygon if that's what you hold. Balance updates in seconds. This is the closest experience to MetaMask Card available in India.
Do I need to sell my crypto on an exchange first?
No. That's the whole point. Send USDC or USDT directly to Plu. No WazirX sell order. No INR withdrawal. No bank transfer. Crypto → card → spend.
What about Niyo? It's also free and zero FX.
Niyo requires opening a SBM or DCB bank account with ₹5,000 minimum balance. If you just want a free card funded from your crypto wallet — no bank, no deposit — Plu is simpler.
