GetPlu is now a Certified Member of the Circle Alliance Program - Circle's global network of companies building on USDC. Here's what it means for cardholders and agent developers, and what honestly doesn't change.

What the Circle Alliance Program is

GetPlu is now a Certified Member of the Circle Alliance Program - Circle's global network of companies building on USDC and the infrastructure around it. For a product whose entire premise is that a digital dollar should spend like a real one, this is the right room to be in.

Circle issues USDC, the leading regulated digital dollar. The Alliance Program is how Circle connects the companies building real products on top of it - payment processors, neobanks, wallets, exchanges, and the service providers around them.

Membership isn't automatic. Circle's criteria are that a company has a live solution built with its platform, supports USDC or EURC, or serves the stablecoin ecosystem directly. The program is built around three things: connecting members to each other, giving members a voice in where stablecoin infrastructure goes next, and visibility through the public member directory.

That third one matters more than it sounds. When someone is trying to work out whether a stablecoin card is a real product or a landing page, a listing in Circle's own directory is a different kind of answer than anything we could write ourselves.

Why we qualified

Because the product is live and people are spending on it.

GetPlu is a virtual Visa debit card you fund with USDC or USDT and spend anywhere Visa is accepted - over 100 million merchants across 125+ countries. Funding works on Base (recommended for lowest cost), Ethereum, Polygon, and Avalanche. Sign-up takes about two minutes with a passport or national ID, the card lands in Apple Pay and Google Pay, and there are no activation fees, transaction fees, weekend surcharges, or conversion spreads.

That last part is the whole reason the stablecoin rail matters. A traditional card issued in one country and used in another quietly charges you two or three times - the network fee, the issuer's FX markup, sometimes a weekend premium on top. Funding in USDC and settling in dollars removes the layers rather than discounting them.

The part we're most interested in: agent payments

Our directory listing puts GetPlu under AI & Agentic Platforms, and that's deliberate.

AI agents can now research, plan, and execute multi-step tasks. What most of them still can't do is pay for anything - not without someone handing over a personal card number and hoping for the best. GetPlu issues agents their own cards, with their own limits, on wallets that support x402 and MCP checkout. You set a daily cap and a per-transaction cap. You can freeze it in one tap. The agent never touches your primary card.

Circle has been building in the same direction with its Agent Stack. Being inside the Alliance Program means we're working through these problems alongside the people building the settlement layer underneath them, at the point where the standards are still being set rather than after.

Agentic commerce is going to need payment rails that are programmable, capped, auditable, and instantly revocable. Card networks weren't designed for a spender that makes a thousand decisions an hour. Stablecoins plus scoped card controls are the most credible answer anyone has right now, and we'd rather help shape it than integrate it late.

What changes for you today

Honestly: nothing about your card changes this week. Fees are the same, because they were already zero. Your card works exactly as it did yesterday.

What changes is the direction of travel. Alliance membership gives us a direct line to Circle's product and engineering teams, early visibility into infrastructure before it ships, and a seat among the companies deciding what stablecoin payments look like in practice. Over time that shows up in the product as broader chain support, faster settlement, and more places your balance moves without friction.

We'd rather tell you that plainly than dress up a directory listing as a feature launch.

What's next

We'll keep building the same three things: a card that costs nothing to hold and nothing to spend, dollar access for people whose local financial system doesn't offer it easily, and payment infrastructure that AI agents can safely use.
